Fall Wedding Style

Hubs and I got to attend a wedding this past weekend- where I wasn't the photographer!... so nice to finally relax and enjoy the union of 2 friends.

The weather was gorgeous but a bit breezy so I threw together this fun outfit that was warm, cute, and comfortable.

Orange shift dress was a $5.00 thrifted find at our local Goodwill a few years back, grey long sleeve thumb hole top from Forever 21 that is no longer available, stacked bracelets from Target, various rings Vintage finds, Necklace is J. Crew found on eBay, Earrings are Lydell NYC snagged at TJMaxx another cute pair that would also look cute with this look here, and the Strappy Heels are Izabella Rue from Shoe Dazzle and were only $15.00 on clearance! They still have these heels available and they also come in a grey with blue strap color- also super cute!  And I wore these heels from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and my feet didn't hurt- Totally serious!

This outfit is super easy to put together with items that you already have in your closet- think shift dress in any color, and then add an oversized long sleeve top over it, and then choose your accessories to match.

What would you wear to a fall wedding?

Rainy Day Style

We had a rainy week about 2 weeks ago... and I'm totally only getting around to posting this now!  Life has been crazy, but when is life not crazy??

When it's rainy and not the best weather outside I like to be comfortable and stay warm and dry when I'm running errands with the kids... that is if I even go outside the house when its yucky outside.  It's a rare occasion.

For this look I paired a pair of Calvin Klein black skinnies that I thrifted for $5.00 at our local Goodwill- one of my favorite recent finds... with a black tank, gray long sleeve thumb-hole top from Forever 21- no longer available, Blue Raincoat from Target- old, Blue Plaid Scarf from eBay, my Kendra Scott Danielle earrings, Kamik Rainboots, and a messy bun.

These rainboots are cute and affordable- mine are in Charcoal and I got a size 9 which is perfect!

I've literally waded in a few feet of water in these boots and have stayed completely dry.  They also come in lots of other cute colors.

What do you wear when it's rainy outside?  Do you have a cute pair of rainboots?

Mad for Plaid

Plaid is one of the prints that to me just screams fall... and I LOVE it!  I've been on the hunt for some cute plaid button down shirts for awhile and lately have been rocking this $3.50 thrifted oversized plaid shirt.  I've also considered wearing one or two of the hubby's plaid button downs since they are exactly what I'm looking for. Pardon my super messy hair- it was one of those low maintenance days for this momma!

I paired my plaid top with dark gray leggings, brown boots, messy hair, layered necklaces, and a few fun rings.

A fun over-exposed shot that I couldn't not share-  I mean look at my eyelashes!

This outfit is so easy to pull together and its super comfortable- which is also a huge plus.

If you are looking for something similar you can find plaid button down shirts herehere, and here.  My shirt is Mossimo Brand from Target that I thrifted.  The leggings are super old from Wal-Mart, the red necklace was bought at my favorite vintage jewelry store in the Outer Banks, NC, the Moose locket is from Jewelmint called the Moose Bay Pendant- it's on sale currently here, the ring on my middle finger is from the same Outer Banks vintage jewelry store seen in my previous post on vintage jewelry and the other two rings are from Jewelmint- the large opal is from the Covet collection no longer available.  The small ring is also no longer available and I'm not sure what collection it was from.  The boots I bought from Amazon- they are Breckelles Tall Riding Boots and they come in LOADS of colors- and they are super comfortable and well priced.  You can find them here.

Happy Friday!  I'm off to do Insanity and then prepare for a fun girl's movie night with some of my church friends!

Jewelry Loves

The great thing about jewelry is that it's a super easy way to change up an outfit completely and it doesn't have to cost a lot of money.  I've invested in a few pieces that I know I will have for a long time because they are great quality but a lot of the jewelry I wear is stuff that can break and it won't break the bank to find something to replace it.  As a mom of two little guys the jewelry I wear takes a beating constantly.

One of the designers I love that makes great pieces to invest in is Kendra Scott.  Her jewelry is gorgeous!  I have 3 pairs of her earrings now and I hope to add a few more of her pieces to my collection in the future.

Find these here
The Danielle Earring in orange is one I would love to add to my collection- I have these same earrings in turquoise and they are stunning!

I also have 2 pairs of the Skylar Earring- one in neon yellow and one in mint green.  The arrow head look of these earrings is so pretty.

Find these here
I'm dying to have these bright red ones.

The Ella ring is also super adorable- shown here in Gold Drusy

Find it here
Hope your Wednesday is Fabulous!

My Everyday Mom on the Go Look

Hey Loves!

So today is little W's first birthday today... I can't even believe it.  I did a fun cake smash photo session with him last week and I am loving how the photos turned out.  Isn't he a cutie??!

I wanted to do a quick outfit post on my everyday- mom on the go style.  You can be CUTE and COMFORTABLE- that combo does exist.

Today I paired a dark pair of loose boyfriend jeans with a super old t-shirt, a camel faux leather jacket, a statement necklace, and Nike AIR sneakers.

Can you tell- I super LOVE these sneakers- Nike Air Max 90 Essential Pure Platinum Magnet Gray Bright Mango

The statement necklace, Nike sneakers, and dark boyfriend jeans I snagged on eBay.  These sneakers were a splurge at $100.00 but they are so comfortable and they will last me a long time.  The jacket I thrifted for $6.00 at Goodwill, and the Florida State t-shirt is from way back in high school- my little brother gave that one to me.... and I've kept it!

You can easily achieve this look with a sports t-shirt or college t-shirt from your closet or your man's closet if you don't have any.  If you grab one that's way too big you can cinch it with a belt at the waist or you can tie the bottom in a knot- both cute looks.  Throw on a statement necklace- skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans and some cute sneakers and you have a cute outfit for running errands!

Have an amazing day!!

Laura
