10 Easy Clean Eating Snacks

We try to eat as clean as we can in our house because we like the way we feel when we do!  Snacking however is one of those things that can be a struggle since it's so easy to reach for stuff that's processed and unhealthy.

Here are 10 healthy snack ideas:

1.  Sliced Apples and Peanut Butter (or almond butter... or whatever nut butter of your choice)

2. Greek yogurt with fruit and honey

3. Veggies and hummus

4. Fresh fruit

5. A Piece of toast with peanut butter and sliced banana

6. Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie:  To Make this I blend 1 cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk, 1 Banana, 1/4 cup peanut flour, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, and 3 ice cubes... YUM!

7.  Handful of Almonds

8.  Cottage Cheese with fruit

9. Strawberry Banana Lemonade Smoothie: To make this I blend 1 cup water, 1 banana, a small handful of frozen strawberries, and the flesh and juice of half a lemon... YUM!  I also love adding some fresh mint leaves to this when I have some around.

10.  Did I mention fresh fruit??!  This is my favorite because there are literally tons of options out there... right now we are loving tangelos, pineapple, bananas, and berries.

Eating healthy doesn't have to be hard!

Yellow Chic

I LOVE chambray shirts.  I have 3 different ones in my wardrobe and they get LOTS of wear.

For this look I tucked a dark wash chambray shirt into a funky pencil skirt, added some fun heels, some statement jewelry, and actually wore my glasses.

Rainy Day

Here's another rainy day style.  I've been getting LOTS of use out of my Hunter ankle boots, and I can't say that I mind too much.

For this outfit I paired skinny jeans with my Hunter ankle boots, a striped t-shirt, grey loose sweater, statement earrings, and a low bun.

Whenever it rains I always pull my hair back to avoid the whole wet, frizzy look.  This low bun keeps frizz at bay and still looks pulled together.

Skinny Jeans: Alloy
Ankle Boots: Hunter- bought on eBay
Striped T-Shirt: Mossimo- thrifted
Grey Loose Sweater: Forever 21

Spring has finally arrived and with it we got a whole mess of more snow.  There is something wrong with that picture.

I think I've been wishing for Spring to come and it shows in the outfits I've been wearing.

This is by far one of my favorite tops... EVER.  And big surprise- I got it at my local thrift store for $3.50.

Purple and Pink

For my birthday I got a few fun pieces of jewelry from my in-laws.  This whole outfit was inspired by this necklace from Baublebar.  Don't be afraid to mix prints.  Just make sure you balance out your prints with solids and you are good to go.

For this look I paired some purple Ann Taylor Loft Skinny pants with my Hunter ankle boots, a striped neon pink t-shirt, aztec print cardigan, and some statement jewelry.

Aztec Cardigan: Forever 21- old

Candy Gem Necklace

So I've been a busy bee lately!  In the last week I've completely revamped our master bedroom- (blog post and photos to follow), I've been prepping for LOTS of upcoming photo shoots, Spring cleaning, and lots more.  This week will be full of the fun outfits I've been wearing lately.

I came across this lovely necklace on eBay and I had to have it.  It was one of those auctions that ended at like some ungodly hour so I set my phone alarm, woke up, placed a bid, and went back to sleep.  It was amazing to wake up and see that I had won!  It was like Christmas morning when it came in the mail.  It's a Baublebar necklace.  Baublebar has the cutest jewelry and it's really well made for fashion/costume jewelry.  You can check out their website at Baublebar.com.

Two of my newest necklaces- Left is from J. Crew Factory and right was bought on eBay

For this look I paired skinny jeans, ankle boots, a light button down chambray shirt, with a v-neck navy striped sweater and my fun statement necklace.

J Brand Skinny Jeans: eBay, DV by Dolce Vita Ankle Boots, Gap Chambray Shirt, J. Crew Sweater: thrifted, Necklace: eBay, Earrings: Jewelmint.com

I cannot wait to pair this necklace with lots of other fun outfits.

Can you tell I have a small obsession with statement jewelry??

Happy Monday-

Gray with a Twist

I love mixing prints in my fashion, but I do think it's a harder thing to get the hang of.  The most important thing is to remember that whatever you wear, wherever you wear it... BE CONFIDENT with your bad self! ; )

When mixing prints I usually stick to one large scale print, and one small scale but in this outfit I took a different approach.  I actually wore two medium size prints which I normally wouldn't do.  Here's why it works-  I chose a skirt that was a gray snakeskin... yes it's snakeskin but paired with the gray top it's kinda still boring.  Hence the Leopard print heels, and then adding the pop of the neon and crystal statement necklace.

I've been on the hunt for a great pair of leopard heels for awhile and I got these gorgeous Ivanka Trump beauties for Christmas!  You can find them here- they were more of an investment piece for my closet at $135.00 but they are super comfortable, and super chic.

This statement necklace I just got from eBay for $10.00 and I LOVE it!

Ivanka Trump Carraly Pumps

Gray Top: Forever 21, Pencil Skirt: Mossimo- Thrifted, Necklace: eBay, Ivanka Trump Carraly Pumps

One of the treats I love... Hot Chocolate made with coffee instead of milk or water, add a little almond milk, and top with a dollop of cool whip!   Yummo!  Also that mug is a Starbucks mug.  If you ever want to find cute coffee mugs that's the place to go.

What prints are you mixing lately?

She's Always Buzzing Just like Neon, Neon

I am a sucker for neon.  Something about it draws my eye like no other colors can... not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing, but this outfit was all about pops of neon pink.

I am pretty obsessed with Kendra Scott Jewelry, and I own I think 5 pairs of her earrings and hope to eventually have a few more.  Her jewelry is gorgeous and well made and worth the more expensive price tag.  These are the Skylar earrings in Neon Pink... I even found a pair on eBay that's starting out at only $30.00! You can find them here.

Blue Skinny Pants: Mossimo- thrifted, Black Ankle Boots: Nine West- Amazon, Tunic Cami: Forever 21, Neon Pink Top: H&M- thrifted, Black Blazer: Xhilaration- thrifted

And I had to change up my nails to be a little wild to go with this outfit :)

What colors are you especially drawn to when you shop?

Can it be Spring yet??

I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure all of us here on the east coast are ready for Spring to be here.  I cannot stand Winter.  We have a hate/hate relationship.  In an effort to brighten my wardrobe a bit in this cold weather I added a little Spring time to this fun outfit.  I wore this to run errands with the littles.

Alloy Skinny Jeans: Old, Black Tunic Cami: Forever 21, Leopard Blouse: eBay, Floral Statement Necklace: eBay, Nude Flats: R2- eBay

I just love the studs on these flats!

That's what I started with and it was just a little too dark for me so I added this pink tunic cardigan, and put my hair up in a messy ponytail.  It's as easy as that to change up your look.

Cardigan: Target

Had to end with a picture of this sweetie... I got his this neon polo the other day and Brian said W was rocking the frat-boy look.

All it took was a fun Spring necklace and a pop of pink to get my spirits up.  Spring will be here before we know it!

Plaid Blanket Scarf

Everyone has this scarf... well let me rephrase that... Everyone either has this scarf or wants this scarf in the fashion world.  I've seen it everywhere!  But it is adorable and soft and great to style.  I finally got one of my own a few weeks ago and for only $9.98 with free shipping on Amazon... find it here!

I kept my look very simple with wide leg jeans, tan ankle boots, and a white button down shirt.  My hair was kept out of the way in a simple low bun.

Jeans: Seven for all Mankind- eBay, Ankle Boots: Nine West- eBay, White Button-Down Tunic: TJMaxx, Scarf: here

Tip:  When wearing a blanket scarf style it as shown above by doing the following:
Fold it in half on the diagonal, grab the corners and pull them behind your neck like you are tying a knot except just bring the corners forward and tuck under the front portion.
